The Important of Early Learning | Demo Kidzcan

The Important of Early Learning

It is now recognized worldwide that the ages of 3 to 5 years old are a critical time in a child’s development.  Children who participate in quality early childhood education programs are better prepared for school and will reach better education outcomes.

The Carolina Abecedarian Project, one of the world’s longest running early childhood education programs, has overwhelming demonstrated that important, long-lasting benefits are associated with high-quality early childhood programs.  Their researchers followed participating children well into adulthood, up to age 35.  Those who participated in quality early childhood education were found to score higher on achievement tests in math and reading during their elementary and secondary school years, and maintained statistically significant advantages in IQ test scores and had attained more years of education than those who did not participate in pre-school education programs.

As parents, we all want to ensure that we have provided our children with every opportunity for success in school and beyond.  By enrolling your child in a KidzCan Education Centre, you can be sure that our system is founded on the strengths of decades of early childhood education research.  Our curriculum and teaching methods are all designed to provide your child with the best possible foundation to grow and succeed in their life.

As reported by Unicef, successful early learning programs have several key features, including that they:

  • Use child-centred approaches
  • Support and engage families and communities in children’s learning
  • Offer opportunities to play and explore.
  • Are operated by trained educators

KidzCan incorporates all these principles, as well as best practices from the world’s strongest education systems, into all of our Education Centres giving our learners a jump start on life.
