2018 BC Debate Provincials
We had a large crew of students from Vancouver Debatea formal discussion on a particular topic in a public meeting or legislative assembly, in which opposing arguments are put forward. additional meaning: xxxx Academy qualify for the BC Debatea formal discussion on a particular topic in a public meeting or legislative assembly, in which opposing arguments are put forward. additional meaning: xxxx Provincials. Several received awards; all of them worked hard and deserve to be congratulated for a job well done.
In the Novice category, Cheryl Chen did an exceptional job and took home the award for 2nd Best Speaker! Cheryl and her partner won all of their rounds and were the #1 team in their category, receiving the Top Team prize for Novice Juniors. Amazing!
Many of our other students were top speakers as well; BC Qualifiers rank the Top 24 Juniors by speaker score. Gabrielle won as 6th Best Speaker; Rebecca took home 12th Best Speaker; Alan won for 13th Best Speaker; Maja won 16th; and Judy received an award for 20th Best Speaker.
In teams, Rebecca and Gabrielle placed as the 3rd Top Team, and Judy and her partner placed 8th.
